Mixed Realities
In Computer Graphics "Mixed Reality" is the technology that tries to merge virtual worlds, such as computer generated images and real worlds (e.g.images taken by a camera) as "convincing" as possible and in real time.
The concept that enhances real world situations with virtual data is known as "augmented reality (AR)." The concept that enhances virtual worlds modeled in a computer with data taken from real world objects is known as "augmented virtuality (AV)." The term "mixed reality" covers both concepts.
